Default Grade one question

To my 2023 FLHTP I am a installing simple single din Kenwood, no CD, no hand controls. Just interested in music off thumb drive. I am planning to pick up keyed power from one of the two unused "accessory plugs" present in the under fairing wiring - one unused plug with purple wire/black ground wire or one unused plug with blue wire/black ground wire.
My question is, is the entire under fairing harness dead with key off? I need to find a constant power source [for yellow lead] to retain settings. It would be nice to not have to run back to the battery area for this.
I am not new to automotive wiring but I am a dinosaur - words like canbus have me a bit uncomfortable
Thanks for ANY comments.
