I'm not getting any response to me previous question regarding Fault Codes after removing the aftermarket amp, speakers, LOC's, wiring, etc from my bike so thought I'd throw this out. Could the Flash be throwing fault codes?
Everything is back to stock...except the GTS still has the RF Flash. Are there any "negatives" to leaving it as is? Everything works (no static) as it should with sound from all 4 speakers.
Only issue is as I stated in the other thread, I have a "Speaker Shorted Together" fault code for each speaker. Doesn't seem to affect the performance though.
Sound like you need to get into the BCM and clear the history codes that have been set.
You will need access to technoresearch or another device to clear the history otherwise the codes may keep coming back.
Thanks for the info! I'm able to go in and clear the codes but yes, they come back right away. Guess I'll see if I can get my dealer to go deeper next time I'm there. I have a pretty good relationship with the Service Mgr,
As far as my question about the flash. Do think that is what has caused the fault codes? And if so, is there any harm to just leaving it as is? Everything works as it should and the codes don't bother me if they're there.

The flash will not cause fault codes. BUT if the GTS HU does not see the correct resistance it may throw a few funky codes.
Before you start chasing a ghost I would suggest getting the fault code history cleared

Thanks again Babyboy...will do. Glad the flash is not causing the fault codes as I'd just as soon leave it in there.
Funky codes is right. I've seen the "Speaker Open" codes before but not the "Speaker Shorted Together"?? The "shorted" had me concerned.
Last question...if you (or anyone else with a flash & added amp/speakers) check your codes, do you get any of these?
