I agree with you on me liking the sound, is important. The upside is making rated, clean power, makes it way easier to like.
I've really enjoyed listening to your bike over the years. And it gets better every year. Sandy and I are going to try and make the TMC thing....to come and be you and Andy's groupies.
That particular amplifier (DS18 ION 1600.4D) is a prime example of what I am referring to here on this thread, and all of the fancy "amp/Dyno" screenshots on their website will not change reality ,,,,,,
I have a great deal of respect for you, your institution and the men who serve, I have a son who is currently an officer in the Navy and he is stationed in DC ,,,,
When I was much younger, I served in the USAF as an aircraft mechanic, jets one and two engines ,,,
Lets give a shout out to all of our veterans and active service members for a job well done ,,,
I give no consideration to any DYNO runs provided by a manufacturer/seller that they self-measure and publish on their own website. I only deal with real world measurements, either by independent parties, or by trial and error of my own measurements (then returning their product if it doesn't meet or beat).
My point in replying to your post was that you admitted embellishing measurements, however little or large, just like everyone else. And that process of embellishment, whether by you or others, does not give consumers a valid measure of comparison when making a purchase. In an ideal world, all amp manufacturers would post real-world independent measurements so us consumers had a valid way to compare prior to purchase, not afterwards.
And thank you for the kind words regarding my service and thank you for your service and your son's service. I spent 15 years in DC at the Washington Navy Yard supporting PEO-IWS 10 in various capacities post naval career.
