Apple car play audio issues
Having audio issues using boom box gts after updating I phone to iOS 18 .
So when music is playing and making a phone call or text message the audio stops which is correct but when the call is finished the audio returns with horrible quality sound . Its all muffled and no stereo . My boom box gts software is updated and my whim is updated as well . I tried multiple phones with same outcome. Tried multiple Apple brand cables same issue.
Then I tried an older phone 6 with iOS version 12 and it worked no issues, music returned perfect . Has to be the Apple update .
Has anyone experienced this? Or have any suggestions?

Mine did the same, I just hit the button to have Siri come on, cancel and let her go away, and it fixed itself.
Its not a 'fix' but a workaround for the short term. Really unimpressed with the GTS / WHIM / SENA debacle.

The Siri command didn't work, but hitting the voice button quick brought up the boombox submenu of popular commands which after it cancelled the music returned to normal. Thank you so much for this work around , I can live with this... The boombox GTS system has many flaws especially the partnership with Apple and getting Carplay to work correctly. It's ridiculous you are forced to use a Harley branded headset or you lose most of the Carplay functionality. All the major helmet companies are making high tech built in wireless headsets and we can't even take advantage of that. Harley once again keeps us in the stone age because of being greedy . You used the prefect word debacle!!
Please let me know if you ever figure out the issue, hopefully an update for something will resolve this down the road.
