Default PVR MT6CX580 Speaker

I am planning to install those as the top speakers in the fairing of a CVO Tri Glide 2021 (Street Glide), I am hoping that I will have minimal mods to do to the pods given the length of the speaker. Anyone knows if these can fit without destroying the pods, from all info that I found to date oem seems to be 2.5 inches long, but those are 3.93 inches. I"m hoping there is sufficient space in the pod, length wise, to fit them.

https://prvaudio.com/products/mt6cx5...-horn-speaker/

For the tour pack I am planning on utilizing the following.

https://prvaudio.com/products/mt6mr400cf-ndy-4-slim/

I know you will ask what amp I plan to use, don't get all excited and bash me, I plan on trying the Ion 1600.4 from DS18. If it is crap as some people seem to suggest here, my second choice is the Cicada FLX1400.4. Bearing in mind that up here in Canada the DS18 is $360 Canadian versus $1300.00 Canadian for the Cicada. If I was to go the latter immediately, I would have to buy a strong heater and increase the size of the dog house for the winter, and I frankly don't know if the Dog would be happy sharing the house. I might get away with it in the spring with flowers, chocolate and house cleaning ...but not there yet ! Any solid argument to present to the bank manager as it pertains to the Cicada welcome..at worst I'll give you the phone number, heck all help welcome.

Save yourself the headache and buy my Euphoria Xpert EX4. Recommend on this site (hence why I bought it) and has ample power for what you are running and than some.

I'll ship it to you in Montreal for the same price as that inferior Ds18 amp. Oh, and I hope you are considering a DSP for the PRV's as they are an extremely difficult speaker to tame.

fastsoup,
We should talk in private, if you use messenger in facebook you can find me as xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I am far from an expert in this, my first time setting up such a thing. Let's talk and see why you are selling your amp. And DSP wize, I guess i'll have to learn but if required as you suggested, PVR has the DSP 2.4 or 2.8 that I can look into. Thxs for the feedback.

Sorry brotha...I don't do social media. I'll private message you my cell number and you can text/WhatsApp me.

I never ran a DSP, hence why I sold my PRV Carbons. You'll want to wait for a few senior guys to chime in on DSP and what to do. I hear HKI mini is a really user friendly option.

Sadly cannot delete this thread. Bottom line, my original plan went out the door rather quickly, the local supplier for the PVC speaker could not get them to me before the month of may.

So I went with option C, which was unexpected.
Euphoria EX4 - 800 watts https://dbdrive.net/products/ex4-ful...49797445550355

Fairing will be: https://dbdrive.net/products/wdx6mot...49342567678227

WDX6MOTO-G2 : 6.5in 2-Way Loud Speakers

Tour Pack will be :https://dbdrive.net/products/exm6n-c...ie-cast-single

EXM6N-CF : 6.5 in. NEO Carbon Fiber Midrange

Hopefully I get full blessing from the experts around here. My first time at this, darn anxious to see what trouble I am getting into, LOL!

I haven't personally heard those Moto G2's but from what I recall, they will melt your face off from the highs.

The Ground Zero Yellow Basket was a go to staple a few years back...it seems now a lot of guys are leaning towards Ciciada Audio, but that comes with a steeper price tag.

Hopefully those TP speakers fit...they look pretty big 😆.

If they end up being extremely bright, you can always add the DSP to tame them.

.
OEM is 2.4 inch depth

TP are 2.7 inch depth

Width size about the same....5.6 versus 5.7

Worst comes to worst I'll use a spacer if too tight on the depth.
