Posting my results. I bought Kicker 2 ohm speakers. 5.25" for the rear pods and 6.5" for the fairing. The fairing speakers required adapters. I reused the stock grills, which was my plan. The kicker grills probably would have worked in the pods, not in the fairing. Everything else, including the wire terminals fit without any issues. It's hard to compare to the stock speakers when they were new. Compared to my worn out stock speakers the sound is much clearer, especially at lower volume. I did have to adjust the fader (the fronts are much louder than the rears). I adjusted the bass and treble as well but not much.
