07 Ultra classic front / rear speakers differences?
Just as the title says, what, if any, are the differences between the front and rear speakers?
I know the fronts are 5.25" and I think 2 ohms. Are the rears the same? Is there a difference in mounting holes? Anything else?
Thanks
Dave.

Likely going to start simple with new speakers. Looking at hogtunes for ease of install and was seeing adds that said "rear" speakers. So it made me wonder if the rears were somehow different.
The Ultra already has the pods in back so it should be a quick, simple swap. One that reportedly will improve sound quite nicely.
I don't think you will notice much of a difference by just swapping out the speakers. I would also go with better aftermarket speakers than Hogtunes as they are quite overpriced for what they offer. If you are swapping out your front speakers look into 6.5inch speakers and use them with 5.25 to 6.5 adaptors. Even the cheapest amp goes along way and increasing/improving sound.

i second that!!! you will find that you can buy 2 sets of amazing speakers and an amp for what you will likely spend on a couple pair of hogtune speakers. and if you listen to these guys, when your done you say "holy crap". if you just put in hogtune speakers you say "aww crap". the BEST part of this forum is no-one is crawling up your *** trying to sell you something. we learn from what others have already tried. and if you dont believe, i have some j&m and hogtune speakers for sale🙄

LISTEN TO THESE GUYS!!! haze is great guidance, always. Yooperhog was in your shoes not long ago and with a few simple questions and less money spent, he is now in audio heaven with 2 bikes.
6.5s up front require an adapter like haze says, and the rears will go right in, in most cases anyways pending on speaker choice.

this is a setup that worked great for my bike. and these prices or guesstimates, but close,
metra 5.25 to 6.5 adapter rings. $12
2 pair of kappa infinity 62.11i speakers $250-$275(thats all 4 speakers)
cerwin vega b54 amp $200??? you will find less expensive amps that are equally as good. this was just my choice
the soundstream pn41000d is $140 right now on amazon. it has more power than u will ever need
some miscellaneous wiring and connectors from local hardware store and you wish you woulda did it years ago
oh yea.....the cerwin vega fits alot easier on top the head unit🤓. and trust me. this is a project u can do yourself the metra adapter rings for the front fairing speakers was part no. 82-9601

Rear speaker that are the same size. Better quality
Have a few questions on rear speakers that are same size but are a little better than stock speakers on a 07 ultra classic. Any help would be great thanks in advance.
Tyler, this is an old thread. You would be best to start a new one. But to answer your question. Nearly ANY speaker will be better than the stock ones. The problem is, the stock speakers are 2 ohms and most aftermarket are 4 ohms. Just replacing the speakers won't do much since they won't have enough power to perform. An amp is a necessary component to get decent sound out of a bike. What's your budget? Some of these guys really know their stuff.
