Default Speaker adapter delima

I'm trying to get some Sundown BPS-6.5s mounted up in my 2000 FLHTC, inner fairing and lower fairing pods. I already have the so-called “recommended” adapters to go from the stock 5.25” to 6.5”, but they’re too damn small. The Sundowns need a 6 3/4” bolt pattern center-to-center, and the factory lower pods are only 6 3/8” center-to-center.

I need an adapter that basically sticks out about 1/2” and then flares out to the right bolt pattern so everything lines up solid. Not interested in hacking it together with screws that barely bite or silicone. I want it right and done once.

Has anybody run into this with these Sundowns? If you’ve got a file for 3D print or CNC, I’m all ears. Or if you know someone making proper adapters for this, point me that way. Sick of chasing my tail on this. I just want to get these in and enjoy the music.

Appreciate any help.

There are no spacers that flare out. That would be super strange if those speakers have a different bolt pattern.

I don't think anyone has ever mentioned Sundown speakers on this forum.

Your best option is a 1/2 spacer and the bolt holes should line up

You can try METRA 82-4400 for the lowers or if those don't work get in touch with Nagy Customs out of Michigan.

focusing on the lowers for now since they’re more straight forward. The silver rings are “6.5” and the black covers are the new “6.5”

You are measuring the grill and not the speaker. What is the speaker measurement?

Most aftermarket speaker grills don't fit in lowers.

correct, I am just using the grill to show the speaker “bolt pattern” if you will.

Here is the physical speaker size and here it is sitting in the lower fairing. I know it’s a bit large but I would think it’s close enough to make work.
