Mocked up the Fast Foam rings and it doesn't seem they will easily go under the fairing cap and I haven't added the dynamat yet. For those running them is some cutting needed or just push harder?
Without the Dynamat they should be fine, maybe just a little light pressure on the fairing to get it aligned w bolt holes the first time then they seem to adapt in shape.
With Dynamat, sneak your wife's electric turkey carver out of the house and just shave a bit off in the predicted shape of the fairing.
Most of this obviously really just depends on the depth of the speak.

Not trying to sharp shoot you here but why do you think you need them? Does JL have a published enclosure specs for those speakers. Some speakers sound better (and need) larger enclosures.

In retrospect I was a little fast with the wallet, saw someone reference them in the audio section, checked there website and of course it says I would benefit so $30 later I've got some foam rings. A least it was not a $300 questionable buy..
