Broken Harley Intercom Headset Mounting Clip
One of the mounting clips on the Harley intercom headset broke.
I'm going to try rebuilding it with Durepoxy, but I'm not sure I'll be able to, as the material seems weak and brittle.
Has anyone experienced this problem and had any good ideas for solving it?
Or, do you know where I can buy this replacement part?
My biggest problem is that I live in Brazil, and we don't have many Harley-Davidson replacement parts stores here.
But if you know of any online stores, even in the US, that you can recommend, I'll contact them to see if they can ship it to me here in my country.
I remembered I had this clip from an old, broken communicator I had before...
And when I looked at it, the hole sizes were identical to the holes on the Harley-Davidson communicator.

I was able to use this metal clip as a replacement for the original Harley clip.
Here's a tip for anyone having the same problem.

My suggestion. About 2 months ago, someone came on here and said he needed one of these. I knew I had an extra one in my basement (sets come with and extra one - so, look in your box). I sent him my extra one. I figured that since I have moved to wireless most of the time, I would not need it . Plus, I have these on 3 helmets.
In any event, I used my wired headset and would you believe it, mine broke.
Stopped by my dealer and asked if he could get me one. He said those can no longer be ordered. Then he said - wait, when guys trade in their older bikes, the usually buy the wireless Cardo.
He checked and said - here you go - an entire headset that someone just took out for the wireless. So, check your dealer. If you have a good relationship like I do, well, you might be lucky.
Also ask some of the guys in your HOG Chapter that might have moved to wireless.
