So I received my Sound Stream V2 radio last night. I plan to install it in my 2014 FLHTK tomorrow. The physical part looks easy. But does anyone have anything to say on how to use/pair phone /headset to the system.
Should just be a bluetooth pair-up for those I would think? The manual will tell you how to do it, or browse through the settings menu for 'bluetooth setup' or something like that.
Pair your phone and headset to the V2 just like you would any other device. There is an icon for paired devices I think its called. Go to that screen and there will be a search icon. Make sure your phone and headset are NOT paired to each other.
I suppose you've got the unit with the latest firmware update (May 28 2025). Proper way to use V2+phone+headset is the same as original GT/GTS unit. You pair your headset(s) to the V2 using headset phone pairing mode, connect your phone with wired or wireless Carplay/Android or just with Bluetooth to V2 and then make another connection with "V2-headset" bluetooth on the rider's phone. In that case you might address the sound outputs between speakers and headsets depending on how do you want it as far as use the V2 intercom feature should you connect two headsets with no need to pair the headset to the phone or set the intercom between headsets directly (passenger still need their headset to be paired to their phone if they want to use phone calls too). Headsets are connecting via APP menu on the main V2 screen. Volunteer Audio have the video on YouTube about it.
Well all installed Pairing was very easy Phone and Sena 60S. Everything seems to be working great. Speakers took the most time. Very happy with it so far. Volunteer Audio was amazing to work with. I would give them the highest grade. If you are considering a upgrade give them a call.
