Current 19 FLTRXS with stock HU, NVX VADM2 AMP and 2 6.5 Cicadas. Works ok. Have a buddy who excels at making better noise. I trust him but looking for anything to watch out for or issues etc. His recommendation is Soundstream WHD14+, Soundigital 1200.4, 2 Euphoria ex6ncd-cfv2 6.5 fairing and 2 2 euphoria ex69ncd-cfin the lids. I have heard another RG he did last year with the same and it is awesome but looking for things I might have missed like Android auto while using USB for music or other little integration gotchas and any overall impressions. Thanks
If you don't hate the GTS head unit you could just flash it and build out from there, that's what I did. IMHO the basic Soundstream WHD14+ doesn't have many more features than the GTS does. Now if you don't mind spending more for the Soundstream V2 that adds a ton of extra features like wireless headsets, but man is it expensive.
The smart guys can help you with the rest of your questions, but I never really felt like the WHD14+ was much of an upgrade over my GTS.

Myself I would keep the GTS HU and flash it. Then add a DSP for control of the Audio frequencies to dial in the speakers.
Soundigital amps are ok but tend to have a dirty signal on the output side.
If you are just going to use four speakers there are pretty cool amps out these days that have a built in DSP if you want to keep things simple. I realize they are a little expensive but sometimes less is more.
I've got the non DSP version of the 1400.4 and love it. The power I wanted and the footprint I needed. You could run four ohm speakers of your choice in the fairing and a pair of two ohm 6x9s in the lids and that 1400.4 wouldn't break a sweat. I realize it all depends on your budget though, just thought I'd toss it out there.
Thanks both of you. @Babyboy does that dirty output opinion include the newer XP line?
I have not tested the new XP line yet as Soundigital put a VERY BAD TASTE in my mouth. Soundigital WARRANTY SUCKS because you have to have a paper trail 2 miles long for something they put out that was inferior.
I have a BOX full of Soundigital amps they returned to me for warranty.
As noted Cicada has the same if not smaller footprint and depending on your power requirement has a better line up of amps.
