I have a 23 SGS and over the weekend my friend gave me "free" his old Stage ll Boom Stereo with wire harness, Amp, front and back speakers and Rockford Fosgate speaker grills, I spend several hours installing it and its not any louder than my stock Stereo. I GTS and it looks like is not a direct plug and play I have to have the radio flashed...... I'm guessing there is not another way around it. Does the dealership flash radios?
Unless something has changed, and there are guys on here a lot sharper than I am on this audio stuff, but... I believe the Boom Stage II system (specifically) will need the "flash" to be done by an HD dealer.
I do not know why, but I remember a few years ago the third party diagnostic software, like TechnoResearch, would not do Stage II specifically.

Hi and yes I stopped at my local HD dealership and they have me scheduled for a Radio Flash this Saturday.
