Default boom audio

I just installed the Boom audio cruiser speakers on my '08 flstc. plugged in a cheap mp3 player and went for a test ride. Sounds good. not great, but good. loud enough and clear enough to hear the songs at 70mph, but really best when tooling around town at 35- 45 mph. I have no regrets about the purchase and satisfied my need for tunes on my bike.
Just a little info. Will post pictures of speaker placement next weekend.

Need to know if anyone else is having problems with there boom speaks? I had them installed on my 2009 Softail at my local dealer in March, and already several time I have totally lost the left speaker, then it comes back, then it goes to 50% power or volume. I have notified the dealer. Think it must be a short or a bad connection. Thanks

I installed the boom speakers myself about two months ago and they are working just fine, no problems at all.

I spoke with my dealership and was advised that HD knows of the problem and the speakers are now on backer order. They will start shipping them again once the problem is corrected. They have a set on order for me and once they return to production and ship they will replace my defective set. They worked yesterday, who knows if they will work today..

After reviewing all options I went with the Hard Ride Audio set up.... IMHO the Hertz 6.5" speaker upgrade are the best sound you can get from a batwing. Hard Ride Audio usually has the best price. Good Luck on your upgrade.

As an aside, I have also had several communications with Bose regarding designing a Harley upgrade. They have looked at it and have no plans to develop anything in the near future. They can't figure out how to fit that patented rear chamber (sorry can't remember what its called) inside the fairing.
