Default Rumble Road Ultra install help

http://www.mhinstruments.com/product...raluxe_kit.htm

This is the pretty new system I got, I got it used on ebay and I dont think it's the stock wiring. I am AWFUL with wiring, so I'm turning to the pros (you guys/gals)

Here's a picture of the speakers and the way it shows to install. But the edited picture is what mine looks like.

I wanna make sure that both speakers get hooked up to the battery's + directly. And that I dont have to ground anything b/c they are build in the casing.

gnstalodz...

there should be a grey wire coming from the crankcase volume control.
grey goes to switched +12v
the red and black wires from each speaker plug into their respective red and black wires on the 2 RCA adapters.
the end with the RCA connectors plugs into a "y" adapter
the "y" adapter plugs into the crankcase volume controller
mounting the speakers securely to the handlebars provides ground for the system.

I'm getting a loud popping noise when I connect the power. I have the black powder coated ones and it says in the manual "For black powder-coated speakers, ground each by attaching an enclosed grounding ring to the stem and connecting the other end to the bikes ground"

Im trying to figure out what it means

ps. ty for the help

EDIT - For future ppl to know with these speakers. the black powder coated ones need to be grounded from the stem. I hooked it strait to the battery and it's great now.

Now to find where to put them on the bike!

I am thinking about getting a set of these speakers. Could you let us know how you like them when you get them hooked up? Thanks..
