I just installed the RF PBR300x4, RF T165's in the fairing and RF T152's in the trunk. Holy cow it's SO loud and very clear! Running the fronts on AP at a gain level of 4. Running the rears on HP at a gain level of 3. For the money, hard to beat...about $350 invested.
wjl24: If you want to thump, buy the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 and a pair of Polk MM651. You'll have about $350.00 invested including speaker adaptors and amp wiring kit. Very easy install. The hardest thing is running the power wire under the tank but it only takes 15-20 minutes to do that.
You can find the amps for about $165.00, the Speakers for about $105.00, the adaptors $40-50, and the amp kit $25.00.

What mounts and wire harnesses are you guys using for these AMP and speakers?
I just want to install speakers in the faring,it's a 2012 SG.
I've been thinking about getting a J&M Roker system but it seems way overpriced IMO.
Rockford has an amp install kit with the 10 gauge power lead and ground. The amp has it's own harnesses that you connect your existing wires to.
Your existing speaker wires to amp input. Then amp output to speakers. Just need to crimp a few terminal ends.
