Default Reckless fairing audio upgrade

just a little review of the upgrade I did to my reckless fairing. (Sorry i didnt take pics ) The Faring came with a sony head unit that took a dump on me and 4 5 inch prospec MIL-SPK552B 100 Watt speakers which I am still using. I added a Alpine cde 121 head unit $99 from crutchfeld and a Alpine KTP-445 Head Unit Power Pack off of ebay for $120. Everything was plug and play so it was a breeze to install. I couldnt go for a ride because its raing out but I had it playing in my garage and it sounded a ton better than the head unit alone. with the amp the volumn could be turned down almost half and was just as loud. I still have to play with the setting on the head unit and take her for a ride. and I will report my findings for anyone who cares lol.

anytime you can achieve a good sound level at a "moderate" volume setting from the source (in your case the alpine radio) you're doing good. The lower that volume **** (or buttons) on the radio have to be to achieve that sound level, the less distortion you're injecting into the system. Enjoy your tunes!
