Slowly but surely, putting my upgraded system together ok my bike, was looking at the factory grilles, and they seem like they might block sound a Little bit ? Could this be the case ? If so ill make some new ones. Thanks chad

are you talking about the stock grills in the fairing? if so, mine don't seem to affect anything and they sound great. I rather the stock look as well.
If the rear pod grills, they won't fit on the Polk speakers at all. You would have to go the route of the CVO grills which look good, don't affect sound, but are pricey.
I have HogPro 6.5 adapters and Focal PC 165s in my batwing. I'm using grilles that came with long-since replaced Kicker PS5250s http://www.kicker.com/ps5250#fragment-4.
I'm seeing comments about restrictive OEM grilles and am wondering if I should replace the Kicker grilles. I see Dragonfly has a set of adapters with non-restrictive grilles ($70) but I do not want to buy another set of adapters, and don't think I need to. http://www.dragonflycycleconcepts.co...FlowGrills.htm. Also, I could use my cut-down Focal grilles, but I did not like the fit and look afer I cut them.
Anyone know the Kickers grilles? Should they be discarded? I assume the Focal grilles are high-quality, and the two seem quite simial in terms of materials used and opening density.

Reason: typo
as far as the grills, "restrictive" OEM grills yeah I can see that if we're dealing with SQ in a competition. Those grills don't seem to restrict any noticeable sound IMO.

10-4, was just curious, see some of these grilles that you can see thru, didn't know if it effected sound,
