Need the advice of a GURU for stereo upgrade
I have an older Hogtunes setup, 4 hogtunes speakers, I think 2 ohm, 2 way amp and tweeter bar. I can hear my classic rock just fine, I think mainly because of the tweeter pod, but when my tourpak is on, I, nor my wife, can hear the rear speakers hardley at all.
Here is my question. Is there a set up I can get, to make everything louder, and possibly use my older speakers and amp in a different location? for example, lowers or saddlebags?
Thanks for any of ya'lls input.
Ghost, You probably have the Hogtunes 24.2 amp about 30 watts rms per channel. You could upgrade to the Sound Stream Nano 520D it puts out 4x 100 watts per channel. The problem with your current set up is the 5.25 inch Hogtune speakers, not very good when compared to the better more expensive 6.5 or even 5.25 speakers that are available like the Polks. In order for the passenger to hear the music better, the music from the front end must be louder or you need to put speakers in your saddle bag lids, since the passenger's legs block the tour pak speakers. Hope this helps.

Thats kinda what I'm wondering. Isn't there a way to run my hogtune current set up, move the rear speakers to the front lowers, and add a newer amp and newer speakers to my rear tourpak and and saddlebags?
you need to tell us exactly what we're dealing with here sir. What model speakers, what model amp. Those are crucial to determining which way to go with this.

Sorry UltraNutZ. Been out of pocket. I'll pull the fairing and get that info. It's an older model, 2 way amp. More to follow.
update
Ok, Moto Mike hit it on the head. 24.2 amp
4- 2 ohm speakers, 45 watt rms- 90 watt rms max
Any configuration I can use with these, like all four up front? I thought I read there was room in the fairing for another small amp and run two larger speakers in tourpak and two more in saddle bags, or all new stuff up front and just juice the two hogtune speakers in tourpak?
Thanks for all your assistance..

Ghost, your situation is difficult. Depends what you want and how much $ you want to spend. If it was me I would sell the Hogtunes stuff and put in a Sound Stream Nano 520D, more power, you could run 4 sets of speakers off that amp. Speakers would have to be 4 ohms and you would run them in parallel. Also means you would have to invest in saddle bag lids and speaker boxes for your lowers. To add the Hogtunes set up with amp and 4 speakers to your present equipment would cost $530 just for their stuff. Maybe Nutz has some idea's he IS the Guru!

Ok, lets say I scrap the whole Hogtunes set up, I could run the Sound Stream Nano 520D , and it would push FOUR sets of speakers? or just 4 speakers? Which speakers would, in most folks opinion, be the best bang for the buck?
Thanks again for all of your patience with a dumb redneck.
