Ok so I have read a lot of these posts and can’t seem tofind my question, so as unlikely as this is I’m going to assume no one hasasked it. Here it goes…
I have a 03 ultra with a stock radio sound head unit, PolkMM6501 in the front and Bose 131 in the bags and some blaupunks in the tourpack. I have an Alpine 445U running the back speakers and a RF PBR300x2 for thePolks up front. The Polks and RF are new. I took out a set of blaupunks fromthe front and added the RF and Polks. I then sent the Alpine to the back. (useto run both sets of blaupunks).
Now I know the Polks work and I know the RF works. Both havebeen tested off the bike. The wiring is the same as before when the front wererun through the alpine to the speakers. Nochange just sent the wire through the RF and into the Speakers. My problem isno sound from the Front. The back speakers work fine. I put a continuity testeron all the speaker wires and have good continuity from the female plug comingout of the head unit to the RF but no sound from the front speaker head unit wires.
Thinking my head unit may have gone bad I sent is back toradio sound and got a replacement. And still no sound from the front speakers. Anyideas? I have run out of things to fix to get this working again.

sometimes it's best to walk away and come back with a clear thought process.
What about power to the amp itself, can you see the power light come on? The RF uses a signal sensing technology that powers the amp on when it senses signal on the speaker wire inputs. When that doesn't turn the amp on, there is a voltage adjustment called HL Adjust on the amp. Turn it slowly to see if the amp will power up.
Of the above doesn't work, then take the orange/white wire that is taped to your headlamp harness and run it to the REM position next to the battery and ground connections on the amp. DO NOT USE THIS if the amp will turn on with the speakers in the above step.
No the power light is not on on the RF. but when I send a power wire to the REM it lights up. When I run the speaker wires from the head unit straight to the speakers and bypass the RF I still have no sound. I have been playing with this for weeks. and the sad part is before I changed out the speakers everything worked. and yes the new speakers do work on a shelf test.
Roach, may sound completely like a dumb question, but, where is your head units fader set at? if,by chance, it is set at rear then no sound will be heard.Just a thought....this situation has got me stumped as well.Seems like you have all the bases covered.Like Ultra said, walk away then come back...it has worked for me in the past. Meanwhile,im going to continue to think more into this and scratch the side of my head...maybe even grab another tea while i ponder.I will keep an eyeball on your post and see if you have gotten any more ideas.Hope you find the answer soon, good luck!!
fader is centered, rear speaker wire stretched to front speakers works fine. and as I said this is a new (refurbished) head unit from Radio Sound... now I have been told years ago that a pinched wire can cause complications with the stereo and I have put a lot of zip ties on this thing. before I go and cut loose 100+ zip ties does anyone have any ideas what ones I might try first?
