Default Stock audio control question

I can not figure out how to change my presets with the handlebar controls. I have looked online, and in the OM, not to mention asked the guys at the HD dealer. No one can say for sure if this is possible? I do not like hitting the up button and going up from 99.9 to 100.1. Is there a way to go to the next preset?

Nope. you have to actually hit the preset numbers on the face of the stereo. Sad hey?

I went through the same thing when I first got my Ultra... I searched the manual, online, and tortured the salesman who sold me the bike and came up empty! None had the solution.

It IS sad that in this day and age there's no way to simply skip from preset to preset instead of tuning through every channel to find the radio station you're looking for.

Perhaps in a future software update HD will include this feature. Or more likely, one of the very talented aftermarket companies will figure something out for us.

Actually, there is a way to use the audio switch to scroll your presets. It's been posted here multiple times.

I think he's referring to programming his presets. That must be done from the face of the radio using the 1-5 buttons as T_Dogg80 pointed out.

God forbid you actually said how, instead of taking the energy to write it has been posted multiple times. I never understand people like you.

And if it has, show me, because I cant find it, and it seems others that posted in this thread cant find it either.

Iron Cross Audio posted a link to a PDF file that dates back to the 2006 model radios and nothing has changed since then. If you're trying to scan through your presets using the controls, take a look at the manual ICA posted.

If you're trying to set which stations are in which locations on the radio, you'll need to do that from the face of the radio.

I don't think he's trying to program his presets, I believe he wants to be able to jump from preset to preset using the handlebar controls (as would I).

The pdf that Iron Cross posted (which is nearly the same as p. 106 in the 2012 manual) tells how to set your presets using the softkeys on the radio face. It also tells how to scan automatically through your presets by pressing the MORE softkey for 3 seconds, and once in that mode how to stop it from scanning.
