Been reading this forum for 2 days and cant find much about head units. Just installed a SoundStream 4.520 and Titan II speakers in the fairing. Would changing my stock head unit to something like a Sony be worth it or should I be looking at something else?
Worth it , as in what ?? What kind of bike are you upgrading ?? You bought a 4 channel amp,......do you have rear speakers, and did you replace them ??
depends on what specifically you're looking for. As GP pointed out above, there are blanks that need to be filled in for a proper response from us.
Also keep in mind that going with an aftermarket head unit requires the use of a handlebar control module. The 2 popular ones being Hawg-Wired and Biketronics and both are $200+
Baggin, Adding a headunit would be the next logical upgrade, it would make a significant improvement in sound quality. Then add Titan II's to some lowers or saddle bag lids, then you be kick'n azzz, after all its only $$$! lol

Lot of blanks need filled in here !!
I have an Ultra Classic. I detach the tour pack so the rear speakers are not being used. I got the 4 channel amp for speakers in the fairing and lowers or maybe bag speakers. Only have the 2 Titan II in the fairing now. Would spending the money for an aftermarket head unit be worth the improved sound our would I be better off adding speakers to the lowers or bags?
Another option I was thinking about was bridging the Titans I have.
