Gee Usaully JMJOHN is johnny on the spot when he's pushing the JM product on here! you know the BEST Harley after market speaker with no specs, no idea who makes it, and the teeny weeny magnets! Hello john are you there... uh John can you help this guy, hello John are you there....uummm hello... hello....

WestTexasRider: I agree, however we wanted to use a pair of Shorty Helmets this Summer and since I was given two new OEM headsets with my Bike, I was going to save some much needed cash by using them until I could afford a set of Blue tooth Coms. My plan went terribly wrong when the OEM Cords would not work. I am really not trying to give JM a bad time, there Staff have been great to deal with. It's that the Top Man refuses to even consider the possibility that the Pins on the JM Cords could have been mismatched or a quality control issue, just brushed us off.

I acknowledged your emails many times, but finally had to give up ,,,,, you will simply not listen to what I am trying to tell you ,,,,,,
we have been using the SAME J&M headset cords and din pin sizes on Harley Ultras since 1989 ((24 years)) ,,,,, J&M builds more headsets for use on Harleys, than anyone else in the world, with the possible exception of Harley themselves, as they GIVE a headset away with every new Ultra, whether or not the customer is going to use it ,,,,,,
the din plugs on BOTH the Harley and the Gold Wing are the exact same European standard DIN specification, both male & female (along with also Kawasaki, Yamaha, Victory & Can-Am)) ,,,,,,,
it may very well be that Harley's plug on the end of their headset cable has a different sized diameter pin than J&M's ,,,, but that does not mean anything other than that Harley might now be using a slightly different diameter pin ,,,
bottom-line for YOUR bike is that YOUR headset female jack socket is worn out ,,,, and new ones are NOT that expensive, so please get a new one, so that you can use EITHER a Harley or J&M brand headset ,,,,,
