Default Biketronics, 3rd party or stock antenna

About to do an install of a new HU on my 02 Ultra. I got the BT install kit and it comes with a faring antenna. Anyone using this? Is a 3rd party better? I already have the standard antenna on the tour pack as well.

I asked about the "antenna" in their kit. Its literally just a wire... works but not as good as the Amped aftermarket versions like the Hawgtenna, with the full whip antenna still being the best of the three.

if you don't mind the whip I'd use that. Non of these in fairing antennas will perform like the original.

I have a 2011 ultra classic cvo. I made the tour pack detachable and ended up putting a j&m cb/fm antenna under the fairing.
I did this because I couldn't find a good way to mount my whip antenna. The mounts that I used on my previous ultra classic wouldn't work on the cvo. (The ones that come with the tp quick detach kit).
And I don't want to lose the covers between the frame and the bags.

Been a couple years now though.. Are they making the parts to do this these days? Or has someone found a way?
The hidden antenna isn't that good, I wouldn't mind doing away with it in favor of the whips.

what I've seen others doing is pulling their stock antenna wire back up into the fairing and then using the stock whip antenna and laying it inside the top of the fairing.

Here is also a couple of ideas for mounting the antenna.
