First of all Thanks to UltraNutz for the excellent Step-By-Step he sent me. I made a few tweaks along the way but the instructions were spot on and crystal clear.I went with the Rockford Fosgate PBR 300X2 Amp and the Polk MM651 6 1/2" Speakers.I used the Dragonfly Speaker Adapters and Klock Works Grilles.I enclosed the speakers in Metra baffles lined with glued in Poly-Fil. I have no future plans of adding more speakers and satisfied with the two stock speaker locations. I started my Trek trying to find a bracket for the Amp and discovered nobody wanted to sell it as a seperate piece, only if you buy the Amp from them. Well I already had the Amp, Just needed a way to mount it. I didn't want to just Velcro to the top of the radio, mainly for heat reasons. I wanted the bracket for a heatsink, or a way to circulate air around the Amp, so I made one. Everything heat shrinked and loomed in. I came up with this and it seems to work just fine.......
Thanks Carl. I tried two different Vendors I found when I Googled the Bracket. Wouldn't sell me just the Bracket.... I always find out too late...I am staisfied with how it came out....
Test ride proved upgrade paid off. Absolutely no comparison to stock.. I highly recommend this install to anyone who is satisfied with a 2 channel system..Excellant...
Ok I've got the same exact amp and speaker setup. Mine sounds great as well. What I don understand is what the baffles and the polyfil for. Can someone clue me in.

I couldn't agree more! Very nice install, how do you like the Metra baffles? I've got the same set-up along with Scott's bracket.

The baffles and/or Polyfil keeps more of the sound coming out of the Grilles, not lost in the Fairing.......

The baffles worked out great. I used spray glue inside and stuck the Polyfil. I tried the sound B4 adding the baffles and there's definately a difference...

I assume you had no trouble getting the fairing back on with the baffles in place? Nice clean look without loose Poly-fil, I may have to try it. I've got my Polk's wrapped in Poly-fil, definitely tightens up bass.

Hey, as long as you are happy with your project that's all that counts.
I thought posting about Scott's bracket would help the next guy/gal.
Thanks, again, for your posting, especially the pics. My audio work is long over on my bike, but I always enjoy threads like yours.
