Default new speakers installed

so i just got my bike back last night, speakers done, rear tire and rear brakes done. What i have hooked up is 6.5 alpine type R in the fairing, with 5 1/4 apline type R in the rock'n'top lids. Currently have 2 RF 300x4 amps powering these, i think i made the mistake of getting the 4 channel instead of 2, so i think i might return them while i still can in exchange for 2 RD 300x2, the bike sounds awesome I think havent played around with the radio settings yet, im trying to upload a video having some problems hopefully i'll have it up in a little while, but heres a pic of the rock'n'top lids

You'll definitely want to swap out the 4 channel for the 2 channel !!

do you think i will notice a difference ? i got the 4 channels because i figured if i wanted to add more speakers later i can run these on 2 channel and get double the power but i guess these amps dont work that way, even thought i called a certifed RF dealer and they said ya youll get double the power on 2 channel then i called another dealer they said no it doesnt work like that ahaha

If you trade the 300/4 for a 300/2,.........uh yea,.....you'll get double the wattage..... simple mathematics...

Aaahahah ya I know that double the power but the speakers are rated at 100 watts and the rears 90 watts, the 4 channel is 75x4 and the 2 channel is 100x2 I didn't know if it would make a noticable difference

As long as we are talking about the RF Punch PBR300x2 it should be 150w RMS x 2 @ 4ohms. ( I'm an idiot and misread... sorry. 100@4ohm not 150).

So should be considerably louder. Adjust the gain and you're set!

GL!

PBR 300x2 is 150w RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms and 100w @ 4 ohms.

According to UltraNutz the 2 amps are not even in the same class.....2 channel is much better than the 4.
I am running 4 4ohm speakers on the 300x2 wired in parallel for a 2 ohm load. Works great.

I think I'm goin to change the amps out then, I had my biike out last night, I was at a red light next to a gas station and there was a guy pumping his gas and he's looking around like where's that music coming from and he did a double take looking at me ahaha, its deffinately turned heads so I guess its pretty loud, I can tell its loud when I'm riding but when I get off the bike and its still running I can tell how loud it really is, I had it on the highwaay at 75 it was still loud and clear
