Default New install somewhat completed-need advice

Just finished my install on my 2013 Ultra...to a degree. Have the pbr 300x2 powering Polk MM651's in the fairing. Just an FYI, this combo really kicks a$$. I don't have my fairing back on yet or the polyfil wrap, but already I am more than happy.

I just replaced the rear tour pak pods with the MM651's, still running off stock HU. They sound a lot more crisp and clear than the stock speakers, but to be honest, the fairing is so loud, can't hardly tell they are on...LOL!

Anyway, turned the system on for the first time, and noticed that my rear speakers come on in both external speaker switch positions. 1st position is supposed to be headset speaker, middle position is fairing only, and full on with toggle lit is supposed to be front and rear together. However, the rear speakers are on with the switch in the middle position the same as the full-on position.

I did not cut or splice any of my stock wiring for this install. I installed the crossovers for the rears directly to the factory speaker wiring at the point I detached them from the speakers in the rear pods. I also used quick disconnects when attaching the amp input wiring to the front speaker wires. So, am not sure why all of a sudden I have a problem with the rear speakers staying on. I didn't touch the harness to the rears at all for this install, other than disconnecting the 35 pin harness to relocate my ipod and cb/intercom, then plugging it back in.

PM'd UltraNutz on this to see if he had experienced this, but thought I would throw it out there for others to chime in. I didn't get a lot of time to play with it tonight to experiment and try to troubleshoot myself.

As soon as I get this problem fixed, it's on to the more fun parts.

Good luck trying to 'fix' it. There is no problem.

In the forward position the speakers are OFF - everything (radio/CB) plays through the headset.

In the center position the radio plays through ALL speakers (front and rear) and the CB plays through the headset only.

In the rear position everything (radio/CB) plays through all speakers. When a CB signal is received the radio is muted.

The intercom plays through the headset only, regardless of switch position.

As he said, there is nothing "to fix.". The fader is your only control front to rear.

Thanks guys. UN also made me aware of that. RTFM is right!!! What's funny is that I never noticed that before. I have used all three positions at different times and always seemed to me that the stock stereo sounded better with the switch in the full on position than it did in the middle position, that's why it threw me.

Glad to know I didn't screw anything up other than my own pride...

Thank you to everyone on this forum that has provided advice, recommendations and their talent to help us noobs to the audio work. I would never have attempted to do this without all of your help. I will say that I trust the recommendations and opinions on this forum much more than the "experts" in the sound stores that were trying to upsell me. My $135 amp ROCKS!

You know you're in trouble when 40 pages of the owners manual is dedicated to the radio.
