Default Adjusting PAC SIN-35

Installed a a pair of PAC SIN-35's to run instead of high level inputs into my SoundStream 4.520D amp. The SIN-35's came adjusted at the max setting. I tried that setting but it seemed to introduce distortion at an earlier volume level I have them set to the half way mark now and things seem good, but I'm wondering if they should be set lower. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I usually set them to either 1/2 or 3/4 depending on the system. On these bikes, I find 1/2 is more than adequate. Then adjust your amp gains from there.

Ok, I'm at half and then I set my gains again using the DMM method. I want to make sure I'm doing what I can with my sound system to get the most out of it. I realize most will then say replace the stock head unit, I'm just not ready to do that just yet. Thanks for the quick response!

no reason other than features and a bit of an increase in SQ to change the head unit out. It's perfectly fine for running these systems.
