Stereo system upgrade
Hello Harley Forum,
I am replacing the stock head unit and front speakers on my 2002 Glide Classic , looking for amp, speaker, and head unit suggestions. I will stay with the two front speaker set up.

Any suggestions for a two front speaker, 2 channel amp, and head unit for my 2002 electra glide classic.

Head unit depends on what you're looking for. Do you want something that plays CDs or are you looking for something like a media player. Also keep in mind by going aftermarket on the head unit that in order to maintain handlebar controls, you'll need either the Biketronics or Hawg-Wired control module.

In a 2 speaker setup, hands down I recommend the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x2 and a pair of Polk MM651 speakers. DO NOT buy MM651UM speakers, they are different. You'll also need a set of fairing adapter rings for the 6.5" speakers from someplace like Dragonfly Cycle Concepts.

Thanks Ultranutz for the advice, I am looking at the Sony CDX-GT710HD head nit.
What type of performance can I expect with your suggested set up versus using a similar 4 channel amp and 4 speaker system.

Audio Install
Hello H-D Forum, I live in Cleveland Ohio and am looking for a audio installer in my area. I am purchasing a Sony CDX-GT710HD CD player with the USB thumb drive option, Polk MM651 speakers, and PBR 300x2 amp, for starters, along with any other misc. accessories needed for the install. I will be using the supplied remote control to operate the system, don't care about handle bar controls, also don't care about FM reception. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

well your initial post states 2 speakers only. and then further down you state you don't care about FM reception yet you're buying a FM HD head unit.
Bottom line is you need to figure out what you want and what you want your outcome to be BEFORE you go off buying parts otherwise you're going to be throwing good money after bad money to get your system the way you want it.
So if you can tell me exactly what you're wanting to do, then I and others can recommend something for you.
