Audio system upgrade
when you're dealing with this stuff, matching components is critical to a good end result. If you've got a good stable 2 ohm amp, then use 2 ohm speakers.
And yes, the remote control will control everything on the head unit just as the handlebar controls will.
(Head Unit)
Sony DSX-S310BTX
Sony DSX-S210X
(Amplifier)
Sound Stream PN4.520D, or whatever else you suggest.
(Speakers)
I have no idea what speaker combo would work best with this equipment, whether it be 2 ohm 4 ohm speakers. The polk mm651 is a favorite but don't know about it cause it is 2 ohm. If a 4 ohm speaker is required suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Per Ultra Nutz,...........the rest will be ..........
The Sound Stream amp is the new '**** of the walk' for easy installation, and good power.
If you want/can install separate tweeters,.............the POLK MM6501 in the fairing, and the MM65 in the lowers will be the recommendation.
If you don't want the headache of the component install, 2 sets of MM651.
This is pretty much the standard system that Nutz recommends, and I would agree that for the $$$$$, it's a solid choice.
Just need an install kit with control module. Biketronics kit has the Automatic Volume Control, and Hawg Wired doesn't,...........but HawgWired has a nice metal chassis for the head unit.
BIKETRONICS KIT
HAWG WIRED KIT
Add in a set of speaker adapters for the fairing,........... Cycle Sounds Speaker Adapters
Some 10 gauge wiring & a fuse holder for the amp,....and your all set !!

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
The Focal 165 KRC was the lowest on the rung that made my ears happy !! At almost $700 a pair,........most folks are gonna pass !!
Anything lower on the Focal ladder, didn't impress me .........
