Thanks Ultranutz, I am looking to play a few CD's and use a USB thumb drive with recorded music, in a two speaker front fairing application with a 2 channel amp.
I put in the Sony DSX-S310BTX. It will Bluetooth right to my Zumo 665 and I Phone. It has internal and external USB and I Pod hook ups. You can ad XM, Sirus or Pandora. Now to figure out how to Bluetooth it to my Cardo Headset. No CD, which I would never use on a bike anyway. So far, happy with the performance. Purchased through Biketronics with HAT speakers, adapters, amp and module.
How would a this Alpine set up on a front speaker Electra Glide Classic sound consisting of the following parts?
1. Alpine SPR 60C speakers (2), Front.
2. Alpine CDE-HD148BT Stereo Receiver
3. Alpine KTP-445U Amplifier.
4. One other possible speaker replacement for this system being, (2) Polk MM651's.
You will need a Hawg Wired or Biketronics unit to tie into your stock handlebar controls.
Speakers are 4 ohms and 88dB efficiency, so won't be as loud as others.
If you bridge the KTP-445U it will give you 90w RMS @ 4 ohms. So picking between the MM651's and the Type-R's... I think the MM's might still be louder since they are so much more efficient even with only 45w RMS
88 vs 94 should make the MM's a lot louder. *should*... a lot of the sens/efficiency numbers are mostly marketing (1w1m vs 2.83 v - unsure which they are using).
Don't forget the Hawg Wired or Biketronics adapters if you want to keep your handlebar controls!

Please feel free to chime in.
For $20 more, you could have the RF PBR 300/2 amp.
As said before, the POLK MM6501 are more efficient, and have a lower frequency for better bass.
Alpine make nice head units, but I think you'd be better off with different amp/speakers.
That being said,.............the PBR 300/2 would wake the Alpine speakers up well, if you are dead set on them.......... JMHO
Can the Soundstream PN4.520 4 ch. amp be used in a two speaker setup along with Polk MM651's, and the Sony 310BTX Head Unit. Also will the Sony remote control operate the system until I get the cash to purchase the Biketronics kit for the volume controls (H-D FLHTCU).
