Smart move!! Make sure to disconnect the neg terminal of your battery or at least take out the fuse for the power wire until you're ready to connect or you'll throw sparks!! Connect positive last.

Sweet I just got a Sony hu, ss amp, and mm6501 speakers. Got it all hooked up but the amp. Just waiting on some wiring instruction from our faithful leader ultranutz lol. Had it running the other day without the amp and it was already way better then factory lol

I messaged Ultra the other evening I have a 2012 ultra limited and in his step by steps, when talking about the front input wires on the SS amp, I believe he has the right and left speakers crossed. He agreed and was going to change it. The colors matched the speaker wire on the left when facing the headlight but it is actually the right speaker on the bike. On the amp outputs it was correct.

easy nuff, simply switch the white plugs. :-) sorry haven't gotten around to it.
