took the amp and laid it over the brace and marked a line on where the mounting tabs were. Drilled holes in the middle of both lines. Cut off extra length with a hacksaw and repeat. Now you have the mounting bracket's for amp. Use the 1/4 cage nuts and had to drill hole a little larger on amp mounts. Solid mount. See Nutz pictures.
Broke the FM antenna trying to remove it from HK head. Bought a new one for $14. Ran it down the right side of the outside of the wiring tray. There a series of hooks on the outside of my tray. Ran it down the entire right side of bike up into trunk where the CB antenna enters. Ran the 8 gauge Power wire down the left side on the inside of the tray. Tied my ground to the nut where the speaker brace bolts to the upright fairing brace(AKA Texas Ranger). Sanded both braces to get a good contact for ground. Power and ground hook up on left side of amp. FM antenna hooks up on right side of radio. I do not have a problem with FM reception. The power and ground do not come near to or cross the antenna.
Just did a little bit each day. Do not rush the build. If you have any questions just ask. I asked my share of question. The turns out to be a great combination of components that blow the Harley stuff away. Thanks Nutz for bringing this combo to this forum.
