My Setup: 2009 Ultra Classic
HK Deck
J&M 7.5 speakers up front
J&M speaker in the rear
PBR300x4 amp
So here is my symptoms:
- In the 2000-2100 rpm range the HK deck cuts out
-- Actually music through the speakers
-- I push the 3 way speaker switch to another position (2 or 3), the music is still playing and comes through the speakers again
-- Sometimes I have to push it to position 1 and then back to position 2 instead of just pushing between position 2 or 3
The amp power light is not on when the speakers cut out. If the amp over heated or shorted the light would be a different color.
I check the grounds, power wires, speaker wires, connections, and I just can't seem to find a visible short.
So I am looking for any ideas, and any issues y'all might have come across in your dealings with similar issues.
I remembered reading something about a self diagnostic on the HD radios, found the post about it, and it said Diag B2017 FL SPEAKER OPEN. Gonna open the hood in the morning to check my wires again before I bring it in for warranty work.
