I am no expert on this, but I thought I read that the artwork must be removed from the songs.
that could very well be.. I guess the reason I never thought of it, is anything I put on my iPod gets re-encoded to 192kb and ALL extra information other than song title and artists are removed.
A trick I learned also with this sony head unit is the removal of all TRACK numbers and other track information. Put ALL songs with a track number of 1
This allows the sony to truly be able to shuffle through all tracks randomly
I don't know if track info has anything to do with it. I tried playing Internet radio and it did the same thing. Somebody HAS to have the Supplemental Service Manual for a CVO bike that came stock with the iPod.
From what I have read in the manual, I'm gonna have to pony up another $90 for a new cable. The saddlebag kit only contains an extension for the cable included in the iPod kit.
My ipod loses it's crazy little mind once in a while. It will just lose audio but still show artist and song on the stock head unit. I need to re-seat the ipod and it will work fine for 10 min, 10 days, 10 months??????

Interesting, mine does this same thing. Works fine then throws a tantrum. So far reseating it has worked.
I having a pretty similar issue. I have the entire kit from Harley, and mine constantly switches between FM and iPod, with a message popping up saying iPod model not recognized, Ipod's with internal hard drives will be damaged, Press OK to continue or something along those lines. My iPod is an iPod Touch, so it doesn't have a hard drive, and sometimes it works fine. On the days that it decides to work, it doesn't say anything about iPod model not recognized or any of the other stuff.
