Hi, thanx for reading my post. Currently I am running the KS 125.2 BX mini amp powering the Focal 165 CVX 6.5.....
One of the focal shorted so I need to replace just the one...I am also thinking I wanna add some lowers to my 2012 SG...
Any thoughts on additional speakers for the lowers? I know I want more bass, but right now I am reluctant adding speakers to the bags...What is my best bang for the buck option for the lowers....Since I have to replace the one focal, you have to buy a pair, any other suggestions for new speakers for the wing...
My mains music is usully from my phone MP3 Rock....
Ive also kicked around replacing the head unit so I can just load all my music and forget about it..
i think I'd look at the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1" to replace your fairing speakers and then take the focals and put them in your lowers. Wire the fairing and lower speakers in parallel and tie to the amp @ a 2 ohm load and that should sound pretty damn good and give you plenty of power @ 125x2.
make sure to wrap the fairing speakers with polyfil and then the lowers simply line the lower pod (DO NOT wrap the lower pod speakers) with a layer or 2 of polyfil. The polyfil I'm talking about can be obtained from the crafts section at walmart and is the rolled thin layered stuff
Thanx for the input and ordered the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1...Ill move them into the fairing and the focals into the lowers once they get here....
I found a good deal on Ebay for the lowers and quick release...But Im thinking ill also need a pod to mount them in correct or am I missing something...If so can anyone suggest a place I cold pick them up, color isnot an issue im going to have to pain the lower as it as anyway, Not a lot of Denim Black around...
If you are getting vented lowers get the cvo pods. If non vented, Fairing factory has the pods. I actually have a set of fairing factory ones if ya want them.

Thanx Oldhippie, I ordered the vented so I got the pods to match as you suggested.....Now just play the waiting game lol..
