EP returns below

Eastern Performance Cycles wants every buyer to be happy with their purchase. Purchasing online carries the responsibility of knowing what you are ordering, whether it fits the stock application advertised, care of the product and packaging in case of a return need, and realizing installations can range from simple to having to hire an experienced tech with tools and service manuals install your parts. Many electronic, exhaust, and billet aluminum products are factory sealed and can never be returned to factory sealed condition once opened and carry a 35% restocking fee due being “open box” merchandise.
It is your responsibility to make sure the part sent fits the application. Verify the correctness of every part before opening or making any installation attempt. If Eastern Performance made a mistake and sent the wrong part we will gladly return it as long as it is still in the original package and unused, so take a few minutes to verify the part you have received is what will fit the application. We do not return parts that have been tried out and you decide you don’t like! Do your homework before you buy as not understanding installation does not constitute a warranty issue. Other new parts still in the original packaging and purchased within 30 days can be returned but are subject to a 20% restocking fee plus our shipping fees to cover our costs. Authorized returns purchased through eBay or Amazon must be received back to us within 30 days. Special ordered parts and helmets cannot be returned. Defective parts, including electrical, cannot be replaced or refunded until the manufacturer or distributor deems the product defective. They can either replace or rebuild the part. All warranties come from the manufacturer or the distributor and they decide what they will take back. Otherwise, we do not accept returns on used or installed parts. We do not reimburse for any labor fees or down time associated with the products we sell, whether due to warranty, purchasing or shipping errors. Manufacturer warranty does not cover shipping costs to us and return shipping back to you.
Parts used or installed contrary to manufacturer’s instructions, handled improperly (signs of damage while in possession of buyer or during return shipment), will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration.
Damages from shipping are extremely rare but if it happens you must save all packing material in order for us to make a claim. If a part is damaged upon delivery call us immediately at 410-451-5181 and DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL IT. Do not destroy or throw away the packaging.
If you have a return that fits the above criteria it must be no more than thirty days from purchase date. Please call us for a return authorization number (RMA). Returns without an RMA will be refused at the loading dock. You must make sure the product is packed properly to prevent damage and scratches during shipping. We will gladly answer your questions by phone or email. Shipped orders may require a signature for delivery.

still doesn't explain why you thought it was ok to expect BT to refund any monies to you directly, let alone the amount of monies you paid to EP when you didn't buy the product from them in the first place. IMO your posts here should be more about flaming EP than BT for not taking care of you as an EP customer and what you expected someone to do for you.

You just won't quit...... Let's go over it again... Biketronics carries the lifetime warranty with 100% customer satisfaction. I wasn't happy with replacing the unit every couple weeks. I wasn't happy with the cover plate for the radio. I don't know who would be. The 30 return window was closed through EP so I took it up with BT. iT'S PRETTY FREAKING EASY TO UBDERSTAND.

bt said they would give me my money back but I had to return the stuff which I did. I had to follow up on everything. Bt received my parts and never followed up with me. I had to send a couple email (over a week) to get a reply. They put me on the backburner. When EP stepped in everything got handled asap through EP not BT. If I was dealing through BT still I would still be waiting.

I had enough dealing with BT. They gave me their word ON GIVING ME MY SHIPPING COST BACK and never came through. But you CAN'T SEE that. That's the bottom line. Lets talk about that. We haven't talked about that. You have ignored that bit of "FACT" as you say. IT's a fact that they did not come through on their end. CORRECT? Did they for honor word? HELL NO THEY DIDN'T. LETS TALK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!

A MAN IS ONLY AS GOOD AS HIS WORD.

I don't know about you but I'm not dealing with a company that does that.....

paid you Friday, sent you a FedEx label Friday morning as well. I haven't received notification from FedEx that this package has been dropped off to them. And if your name is Billy Daniels, who is Scott Oberhouse as is listed with PayPal?

What gives?

To the OP as an FYI...

I too had a challenge with Biketronics responding to email. I almost went to the other guy to buy an install kit. After reading some of the posts here, I decided to call and am glad I did.

I spoke to Chris, who knew her stuff. She was able to clearly explain what I needed and because they were willing to go the extra mile, I ordered the HU from them as well (Sony DSX-210X). The 210 and 310 HUs are not on their website, but they have them.

I placed the order on Friday at noon. Chris said it would likely ship on Monday since they were backed up and the pickup was scheduled in an hour. Well, I just received the stuff today - USPS Priority from Montana to Wisconsin.

Do yourself a favor and call. You won't regret it...

Rick

ok so here's the timeline.
  • Friday ensued the decision of my purchasing this equipment from blackswampbiker.
  • Payment was sent immediately after our discussion to the address provided in the posts
  • Payment was sent to a different name than what was provided, who turns out to be the brother
  • Text message from me to blackswampbiker at 6 PM CDT on Monday because I hadn't heard anything from him or that FedEx received the package that was supposed to be shipped on Saturday as stated in the posts.
  • Received response at 7:15PM stating brother's paypal account never received funds therefore no product was sent; understandable, could be an error.
  • PayPal online shows differently so made a phone call to PP customer service who verified payment had been received successfully on Friday by such individual
  • a few more texts went back and forth and I finally decided to file a dispute with PP on this bogus transaction.
  • Within 20 minutes of filing the dispute, I get an email from PP stating "dispute closed". I'm like WTF. Never had a dispute closed inside of 7+ days with PP.
  • I go look at the PP acount to find a note attached to the full refund stating "sorry I have never sold anything on ebbay.. must be wrong email address or someone gave u wrong one"
So issue is resolved, got my $450 back and in the end.. realize I should have never agreed to do this but nonetheless still have some advice for blackswampbiker...

Call Bill at Biketronics, be nice about it, have him warranty the products and then sell them on fleabay...

Glad to hear got money back UN! I really don't get some of this BT hate. Some professional courtesy in communicating with any vendor on issue is key without coping attitude. Old saying "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar" holds a lot of truth in life.
