Reason: Update
I've asked a couple of questions numerous times in the past couple of weeks in emails, and submitted them through their "contact us" link on their site. I really want to buy their products, but have a hard time spending $1000+ when I can't get some simple questions answered.
Biketronics sucks ***. There customer service suck ***. They wouldn't return my emails either. I will never buy another biketronics product again. I pulled all their crap off my bike and went with hawg wired and hawg wired stuff works.
ive had no problems just ordered the retro module kit and it came quickly enough via USPS
I went through two of those kits in 8 weeks. The last one lasted a week. Just wait until there is something wrong with it and they charge you shipping both ways to fix their crappy product.
BT has an excellent reputation for product quality and customer service over many years.
Like many vendors, they are not large organizations. I've found that phone calls work better than emails--it's a pita to type a reply rather than just talk on the phone. But talking on the phone takes time away from filling orders, etc.
As for pat1's rants, I suspect those are more about installation or application mistakes.

Its pretty easy to install the controller. # wires 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 black= power 12v,12v ign switch power and ground. One plug from the harley harness to the controller and then a 3.5 male to the sony radio. It's not rocket science. Pretty freaking easy if you ask me. It's just a crappy product that's it. I got two bad ones back to back and I had to pay shipping both ways. Bottom line I pulled their stuff out and installed a Hawg wired controller and it works perfect. I have pics of the radio install kit that warped by the sun.... NICE product
