I looking at decks to up grade my street glide I have looked at some sonys & Kenwood
but not sure if I can will be able to see the display in the daytime Oh and I want a CD/mp3 player but not sure if I would need Bluetooth or not
any recommendations
going to go with the SS amp not sure if Im goin with the SS 4ch 520 or the SS 2ch 350 and the focal PC 165
for now may add lower faring speakers later
the head units really boil down to your preferences as far as features are concerned. I will tell you that both BT and HW devices are more compatible with Sony head units than any others.
As for the display, you're going to be hard pressed to find something aftermarket that you'll be able to see very well in sunlight. I know Dragonfly Cycle Concepts is working on a very nice head unit that will be readable in direct sunlight among a plethora of features and functions.
I went with the Pioneer DEH-80PRS... BUT.... I'm a bit biased.. if I didn't NEED Pioneer decks, I'da most likely went with the Sony 310BTX. However if you need a cd player, the 310BTX is not the one as it's designed to hold your mp3 player/phone.
If you can put your CD's on a thumb drive I would suggest the Sony 310BTX. However you won't be able to see the display during daylight hours but once your playlist is playing and you are riding you really don't have to lQQk at the display.
