Default wanting a new radio head unit

I have heard a hundred times how bad the stock head unit is on my 2012 street glide so am thinking about changing it out. What is a good one that will run my 6.5's and tweeter pod for now untill i get lids and add a amp?

What ohm rating are the speakers? It will narrow your choices if they are 2 ohm.

Other than that, just about any will work. It just depends on the features you want.

I plan on getting new speakers with the head unit so I will probably go 4ohm since most aftermarket units run 4ohm.

Check out Biketronics. They sell kits. Radio, interface modules, speakers. The whole shot.

I,m real happy with my Sony media player. It has a slot for an MP3 player. No CD player. I actually have the DSX 210 ( a little cheaper ) but wish I would have gotten the 310 it has Blue tooth.

Amazon Amazon

Of course the install kit and adapter to keep your handle bar controls is where the real cost come in.

I went with the Sony unit from Biketronics, no cd player, behind the face I keep my mp3 player, can play hundreds of songs and still use my handlebar controls, the biketronics kit is plug and play, easy to put in.
