Not sure if I'm missing something or what. I've got a 2012 Limited and I just installed Harley's Boom Fairing speakers.
Sound is better, but now I'm thinking of adding an Amp.
I would like to stick with Harley, but looking thru the parts book, it doesn't look like they list an Amp that will fit inside the Fairing on my Limited.
They list one that mounts in the Tourpak, but mine is detachable and I don't normally have it mounted to the bike.
Am I out of luck in getting a Fairing mounted Harley Amp for the two Fairing speakers?
You should have checked in BEFORE you bought the BOOM speakers. Can you take them back ?? If you are going to add an amp, there are many speakers in the BOOM price range that will blow them out of the water !!
I use the Rockford PBR 300x2, fairly easy to wire.
That amp will overpower the Boom! speakers.
To the OP, if you want to stick with your HD speakers, get the Hogtunes 40.4 amp. It will be less expensive and easier to install than the Harley amp and won't overpower them. Also, the harness that comes with it will leave the rear speakers detachable if your current setup already is.

if you insist on sticking with HD components, then use KIT # 76000070.
leave your rear speakers plugged directly into the back of the radio.

The last step of setting up the amp is adjusting the gain for the speakers. If you do it right the amp is fine and he'll have plenty of power when he changes the speakers in the future.
