Anyone done HOGTUNES with an AMP on a StreetGlide?
Heard some hogtunes the other day and liked them. I would like to do this upgrade, but what would really make it awesome is to be able to plumb in an AMP! Most AMP solutions that I have seen or heard about are like the HD solution, and dependent on a tourpak. (They are mounted to the rigid TourPak) I don't want a TourPak. Nothing against them, just don't want one. Anybody tried to plumb an AMP in the front fairing? Or somewhere else? I want to end up with HOGTUNES in the fairing, and a little bit of amplification.. say, another 25 to 50 watts...
Happy 4th a little early, I am out for a few days to get the mitt fixed!

I will check out Hawgwired... Not looking to blow anybody off the road, it just seems like the stock radio could use a little more punch. And a little more bass would be sweet too... Thanks for the heads up on Hawgwired!

I've tried what you are talking about with HogTunes. They are great speakers on their own. For best results with an amp, you should go with the Hawg Wired set up. If you need more info on them, send me a PM. I am a dealer for them, and can give you some specs and pricing.
RE: Anyone done HOGTUNES with an AMP on a StreetGlide?
I'm doing something a little different, but it still might be helpful. I put an amp in my saddle bag, and am hiding speakers in my elephant head and nacellie(Road King). Has anyone considered putting speakers in the saddle bags facing forward? possably cutting out some of the hard bag and putting a grill in? any ideas?

Tried the bag thing facing forward. Everyone behind you can hear great, but you won't. Wind just carries right on back. You might be able to come up with something to fit on the crash bar facing up and toward you. I never finished experimenting on the Road King. I just ended up with an Ultra lol.

You might want to check with Pez at hogtunes,I use on of their 40 watt amps on my bike, and it sounds great. The amp mounts to the top of your radio with velcro, and the wiring is all plug and play,it's a real simple install.
