Good luck and keep us posted. Running the speakers 50% past specs is going to prove one of two things. Either those speakers are really good, or how well Biketronics warranty is.
Personally, I hope the speakers are that good. Over the winter I'm going with the exact same setup except for the Pioneers in the bags and the BT4180 amp. Is supposed to be rated at ~230w a channel at 2 ohms, and I can keep my quick detach for the Tour Pak.
I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say we expect many pictures and a detailed write up of the installation.

Might want to think about running a capacitor for each amp too. That's going to be a big draw on your charging system. I don't see how it will be able to keep up.
.
Charging system won't be a problem. Been running 5 years with 2of the Apine PDX 600 watt amps, with no problems. Shouldn't need a cap either. Bass is what spikes the voltage, and I run 4 6x9s without the need.....
Most people use caps unnecessarily ...
Nuts, did you order your lower speaker boxes yet . Still dragging my feet on adding those. Should sound pretty good when you get her finished !!!

The cap I only bought "in case" I need it but I highly doubt I will.
I did yes sir.. Bought them from fairing factory and they fit perfectly to the $134 lowers I bought off eBay. Working on my 2nd coat of water sanding (1200) the primer as we speak. One more coat of primer, another water sand, dry em up and spray em black. It's going to be a few days before I get my HD hardware for the lowers to put them together but that'll give me time on the black to hopefully perfect it to look like the lowers and cure properly.
no cheaper no better. just available. my local dealers didn't have the pods, was going to take 2 weeks to get them and any of the online stores like LSHD were 2+ weeks out as well. They were $105 shipped from cruiser-life on fleabay
