How are you guys connecting the ARC 600.4 to the factory radio? There are obviousley no RCA pre-outs on the radio and the ARC has RCA's in. I am about to get one and add rear speakers so any assistance would be awesome. Pics advice ect. i saw on ARC's website there is an HD harness and a 2014 suppliment harness but I still don't see hour the RCA ins are being addressed...
If it doesn't allow high level inputs than use a line out converter. I use a "Pac" unit.

Use a line level converter if you are going to have the head unit flashed by dealer, like the PAC SNI 35
or use the magic box, it has stock high level connections to RCA outputs
I have a 2015 street glide special with the Premium boom box. Current software version 1.19.1 Does anyone else have problems with their radio during turn on?
1. I always wait to start the bike until the accept button comes up, Strangely, sometimes it takes forever to get to the accept screen.
2. Lately, once the accept screen comes up, I hit accept, and it shows a black screen with the time and the music starts playing in the background. Then I have to hit any button and it will start showing the correct screen.
I am really hesitant to add aftermarket amps and speakers in fear that this radio is defective. You know how Harley is, or at least my local dealer, if you change anything it voids the warranty. I have tried upgrading the software, downgrading the software, and even saw in the manual how to do a factory reset. Nothing seems to change how this thing random boots in different patterns.
Can I get a few responses please, on how your radio boots up? Thank you!!
Mine has always been a bit goofy, before and after the update. Sometimes the colors and brightness will be different from my personalized settings, then correct itself minutes later. I've heard of similar complaints. I just contribute it to buggy software, not hardware. I wouldn't let that stop you from doing anything.

It's just Harley dropping the ball just like they did on the water cooled motors. ..the most money for the cheapest parts..could have been a great radio, just needed a little bit more thought put into it..example why would you not bluetooth a headset to this radio...don't make any sense at all what they did with this radio.
I've received some great help from everyone from my other thread and reading through this one.
So I've got the PN4.1000D & Kappa's enroute. I'm having the 25k service done wend and will get them to flash for .135 att.
I've also got the Hog Tunes lids sitting in Layaway at the dealer.
My main question is what does the connector for the rear speaker leads coming out of the radio look like. I know from the Service Manual that it should be connector 162 but I'm not sure which one exactly it is....

My 14 TK does the same thing and add that sometimes it will come back playing from the USB stick it was playing from, mostly comes up on FM, it comes up on diffrent color screens from time to time. I had Soundz install Focals and ARC 600 at sturgis and it still does the same thing from time to time but now it rocks
you can buy a new amp for less than $500 on Amazon.. How ridiculous! I think they might be trying to sell you that over-priced $3 metal bracket with the $247 J&M insignia laser cut in it.
Have you called John directly?
So... I want to move over the J&M 250W 2 channel amp (250HC06) to my 14 SG boom 4.3 and I called J&M and they want $160 for their tin bracket and $230 for their 14 SG wiring harness ($390.00) not including install or speakers! Are you kidding me J&M?
Also, I have not picked out speakers because the 7.25 Rokker XT's I have will not fit. So I need to add $257.00 for the Rokker XX 6.5's or other speakers that will work. Geez man! $150 fir a tin braket???? $230.00 for some wires with connectors on it?

I know what you mean, I have the J&M harness for my 14 but when I got my Ultra limited I needed a new harness so I call and was told it would be $260 just for it. The tech told me to call John Direct, he might help me out if I sent the old one back.. I emailed and called and still haven't heard a word and thats been 5 to 6 month ago..
I'm looking to upgrade my audio and I have a couple of questions. I have never heard speakers in lowers. I am planning on getting lowers for my 2014 SG but I do not know if I will spend the money to do the 4 speaker deal. Is putting speakers in them worth it and how does it provide good sound to the audio experience? Is it worth the cost?
