Audio cutting out on J&M setup
I buggered a couple things with my install (pinched my GPS audio out jack plus the fly by wire harness, both replaced) and the system works. However I have an occasional cut out that lasts 3-4 seconds where I lose all audio. So far it comes back each time and normally only once per ride however I not had a ride over a tank of gas yet. I did have it cut out 4x in a row once, each time slightly lass and all within a 30-econd period.

head unit? stock I'm assuming?
anything else you can add to this to help us help you? does this only happen on a certain source input or does it happen with FM, CD, iPod, GPS ?
Speakers are Rokker front and rear.
Rokker 500W amp
Head Unit stock HK.
J&M have shipped me a replacement amp. Problem seems to be getting worse, happened 3x yesterday. Last two times took over 5-minutes for the power to return.
so have they sent you a replacement amp and you've got it installed already? If so and it's doing the same thing, then you know the issue is not the amp.

turn your tunes up and let it play sitting there
when it shuts down, I'd be looking at LED lights on the amp (if it has any) to see if the amp is clipping and going into protect mode in which case I don't think these amps will literally shut down, or if it's losing power altogether and shutting down.
- If clipping and going into protect mode then you have 1 of 2 things going on. Either a speaker wire is shorted to ground, or you've got a speaker with a bad voice coil that is shorting when it gets hot and causing the amp to go into protect.
- if you're losing power altogether and the amp is literally shutting down, then I would be looking at the power harness (if you've already swapped amps and the issue continues) to make sure that your battery wire is not rubbing against something or is not broken. Even though you stated that you checked your ground, I'd still be looking at that as well. Check the ground from the battery to the frame, etc. If either of your ground or battery wires is broken (inside the casing) and you don't catch it what will eventually happen is it (amp) will cease to function completely or the amp will eventually get toasted by the choking of the power supply to the amp.
