Default opinions please

have hog tunes big ultra installed and pretty happy with it, considering hog tunes speaker lids, how will the 6 x 9's function with the big ultra 4 x 40 amp, or in the alternative would a 70 x 2 hog tunes amp overpower the tour pak speakers with the 40 watts feeding them, the way I read the hog tunes manual the amp by pass will feed 20 watts per side from HU to two more speakers using power from head unit.

Comments please and thank you

Moxy

You will need a separate amp for the lids. If you're going with the Hogtunes speakers, I'm sure they have an amp for them. Probably the 70x2. I don't think you will hear them only pushing 40 watts.

What speakers did you plan on using?

I would think that the 70.2 would be the amp of choice.

Interesting that Hogtunes advertises the speakers included with the lids are 200 watts but they don't have an amp that even comes close to push them to their limit.

Maybe email them for their thoughts, but the 70.2 would be your best bet if you plan on sticking with the Hogtunes brand.
