Default Problem with BT1005 volume control

My BT 7.1 speaker and BT2180 amp just arrived today along with my JVC KD-AVX77 head unit. Finished the installation this afternoon but having problem with volume control. When the engine off volume control works perfectly, but with engine running the volume control works weird, all the time the volume would go down or up eratically or go to ATT whenever I try to raise or lower the volume. It definitely has something to do with AVC, because I tried to disconnect AVC wire and everything works perfectly, as soon as I reconnect the AVC wire the problem re appear, so I kinda fixed the problem with eratic volume control by ditching AVC wire but I lost AVC function which I kinda need. Could it be because my BT1005 was purchased on 2009 and not compatible with 2010 bus signal? As far as I know 2010 touring does not use dedicated VSS wire anymore switching to integrated bus signal for VSS.

I have asked the same question to Bill @ biketronics, waiting for an answer and just wanting to get second opinion from the good folks here.

Thanks in advance...

there is no difference whether 2009 or 2010. Did you follow the directions with the BT1005 unit to tell it that a JVC head unit was attached?

For that bike, and a JVC, the little blue switch should be set to "1". If it isn't, make sure you disconnect power to the BT1005 for a few seconds before switching to the proper setting. Then reconnect and give it a shot.

Yes, the switch is at 1. Like I said everything works perfectly when the engine is off AVC wire connected or with engine running but AVC wire not connected. It definitely has something to do with AVC....

I have tried riding with AVC wire connected, it works by reducing volume when I slow down and raising volume when I speed up, but with very very eratic tendency, sometimes work, sometimes it will turn to ATT by itself or whenever I touch volume control.... Something is definitely not right with the AVC...

Just opened Bill's email, He suggested to check for metal shaving attaching itself to speed sensor on the transmission, He recently had the same problem. Does this sound right? Make sense?
