Polarity of on/off switch
So I've got a dumb question: Does it matter which side of the switch I wire to the "hot" wire and which I wire to the ECM? That is, should I use the grey wire to wire to the power source and use the white/blue wire to wire into the connector which goes to the ECM? Or vice-versa? Or does it even matter?
It goes without saying that I'm not much of an electrician, but I keep thinking it shouldn't really matter. It's on or it's off. The switch completes the circuit in the "on" position and doesn't in the "off" position. So what difference does it make which wire is which? But I'd really hate to be wrong and mess something up, The H-D "instructions" that came with the switch are no help whatsoever. They don't even talk about wiring it - just how to mount it in the housing.
So, help needed!

All the wiring is done now for cruise control. Tuesday I'm going in to the Harley dealer to get my ECM "flashed" to activate cruise. Leave on a motorcycle trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains on Wednesday!
