Default Custom speaker adapters

I'm thinking about making my own speaker adapters (or modifying my current ones) for my BT 7.1s that will angle the speakers more up and in. Anyone done this before and were the results good? My speakers are loud and sound great as is but when I duck my head down just a little they are even louder with highs for days. I'll end up turning down the highs for sure. Thoughts?

I've heard they come close to the outer fairing because if their size. Maybe you might hit it?

Have you thought about possibly shimming it with washers first to see if you have clearance issues or if it makes a difference?

I was thinking of doing a squish test. If I thin the lower part as much as possible it should only tip the top of the magnet slightly. That is my thought anyway.
