Removed the large corrugated wire protector. It's seemed to solve part of the problem. It is now clear that the amp is also hitting the fairing. I trimmed part of the speedo and tach mounts so I could slide the amp back even further (approx 3/8 inch) but still the amp's corners are hitting the fairing and preventing it from seating properly. This is really frustrating - I must be missing something!
Well I'm out of ideas then. My same SS amp is pushed up against the back of the gauges with the front corners of the amp turned down and large corrugated protector off and it buttons up nicely.
Get rid of the bracket between the head unit and amp and the problem will be solved. Velcro the amp directly to the head unit. It's not going anywhere.
Sorry, I was thinking that you had the same setup....was actually Hot Damn (my brain's fried)...keep in mind I have the two modules below the head unit....not sure how this will hold together without the top half??
